The site feels whole and the different sections complement each other.\u00a0 \u00a0 The emphasis of this page is on the slightly opaque box over the picture.\u00a0 The layout of this site has a very structured hierarchy.\u00a0 It allows the user to easily find what they want.\u00a0 The site follows Krug\u2019s 5 Things very well.\u00a0 It has a distinct hierarchy on every page.\u00a0 The pages have a clearly defined area that allows the consumer to find what they want. When something is clickable the mouse turns into a pointer.\u00a0 There is a lot of noise but I think it still works overall.<\/p>\n<p>MANOLO BLAHNIK<\/p>\n<p>The balance of the Manalo Blahnik website is off.\u00a0 There is too much empty space.\u00a0 The colors are all different and the shapes of the images don\u2019t flow. There is no unity in this site the empty spaces are confusing.\u00a0 There are only three buttons that don\u2019t allow you to very much navigation and do not provide much information.\u00a0 There is emphasis on the shoe in the center of the home page.\u00a0 My eye was immediately drawn to that.\u00a0 The layout of this page is dreadful.\u00a0 There are only three buttons at the bottom of the page.\u00a0 When you click on these buttons you won\u2019t be able to ever order shoes from this site.\u00a0 There are links to other pages that allow you to order.\u00a0 This site does not follow Krug\u2019s 5 Things very well.\u00a0 There is no set hierarchy to the site just the three buttons.\u00a0 All of the links change the mouse into a pointer which shows that it is a link.\u00a0 There isn\u2019t a real distinction in the areas of a page either.\u00a0 Overall this site was designed poorly.\u00a0 Especially for being such an expensive shoe.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Is one site more effective than the other at drawing your attention, and why?<\/p>\n<p>The Frye Company is definitely more effective as an overall effective website.\u00a0 It allows the user to actually order the shoes online.\u00a0 It also has more design features that would make me want to go to it instead of the Manalo Blahnik site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/www.manoloblahnik.com\/ http:\/\/www.thefryecompany.com\/ &nbsp; How do they use these principles and implement Krug\u2019s five important \u201cthings\u201d to make sure users see and understand the site?
