For the single page review, I chose to look at a website designed by Alessandro Modesti, which was featured on One Page Love. One of the first things that catch your attention is the design that you first see on the page which has a lot of nature influence as well as man made. The color scheme for the website is mainly blue and white, which also adds to the natural feeling of the layout. The texture of it is very simple and subtle so it’s not really overwhelming or too plain-like him using a very vibrant background full of texture versus him using just a plain blue, so I think he balanced that out very well. To navigate through the page, you scroll down with your mouse, nothing moves down with the page so it is not as interactive as some others might be. The website is easy to read and understand because even though it is only a one page layout, the sections that he divided it up as aren’t “crammed” together which makes it flow really nicely. There is also not a lot of text on the page and whatever text there is, is in a bigger font so it is more readable. I like how on the pictures on the page, when you highlight something they turn yellow which I think is a really cool and unique thing to do instead of it just being the usual hover and click and nothing happens. He also provided little button links that link to each different section-personally, I would have chosen to make the buttons have text to what they are linking to on that page instead of numbers, but that is just my preference.
