A website that could be competition for us would be briansonthebeach.com.  Brian’s Place is a restaurant that puts Italian-Spanish together as does Pepperoni to Pinto.  The layout on their website is easy to read and doesn’t jump around.  On their menu page the one thing I don’t like is how the category food titles are moved to the right and everything else is centered.  Everything in the layout has its own section.  The colors on the website consist of light browns and a dark brown.  I consider them neutral in this case, because it isn’t distracting to me and a look of a sophisticated restaurant.  In one of the sections there is green vines creeping out of the corners which brings the viewer’s attention.  For texture there are lines placed around some of the images and to separate sections.  This is neatly done and doesn’t overwhelm.  One of the pictures looks 3-D since there is nothing outlining it and the way the colors are.  The website has a navigation bar at the top allowing the viewer to instantly see it.  The navigation is pretty basic and easy to understand.  I think the color of the text blends in, though making it easy to miss.

Now with our site the navigation bar is at the top, text is bigger and easy to read, and the background is white making it not distracting.  Our images are placed at the top and what the page is about will be below.  The colors are simple being made up of reddish-brown, light brown, and black.  The lines below will help separate everything creating some texture.
