ARTM2210 Intro to Web Design

Just another Intro to… site

Comic Sans Criminal

For my bi-weekly review, I chose to review the Comic Sans Criminal website. I was already familiar with the site, having seen images from it on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter. At first, I noticed that each page is a different, calming color (though two of the colors are used twice).  The first page tells you to click anywhere on the page to continue, and sets the page navigation for the entire site. You can either scroll, or click anywhere on the pages. There is also a static menu at the top, which has external links to alternative fonts, font software, and stickers and posters. The link on the far left takes you back to the very top of the page. The overall mood of the site is calm and quirky, as intended. The site guides the user’s eye steadily downward. The text is appropriately centered and not long and drawn out on the page, which works with the page’s orientation nicely.
