Starbucks and Caribou both have similar qualities to both sites. The layouts are similar with link to their drinks and locations at the top of the page and having special deals in the center of the page. The emphasis for both of the chains is to try their new coffee and hopefully that will lead them to buy their coffee more.
The layout helps the users easily go throughout the site because what most people will look for is either location or drinks which they both have at the top of the page. The new flavors will draw more of an audience if a user likes one above the other.
I like Caribou’s site a little more than Starbucks because Caribou’s seems to me to be more colorful and their center shows more what is going on at the store. The one thing Starbucks has which is nice is a video in the center which shows a deal for Monday through Wednesday.
